Work, the life of Anton Corbijn

Project item
Klaartje Quirijns, Director, will tell us where he comes from, how all these specific images and ideas are formed, She wants to go back to Strijen, the place where he grew up in a deeply religious family in a house with a cemetery in the backyard. The film will be an exploration of the themes that come back his work: Sacrifice, Control, Celebrity, Death. He will give us access to the people he made icons. According to Bono: he looks at women with a feeling of guilt and to men as icons, all created by his protestant eye. And they will tell us how he does it. She wants to capture his skills, his personality that is so interwoven with his work: how he deals with other people, how he makes his choices, (backgrounds, colours light, hair make up). He is involved in any aspect of a shoot for photo’s or film. What does it take to be Anton Corbijn, and what does it take to maintain this brand?
